PROMOTION OF INCLUSION AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE, WOMEN AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL RESSOURCES

It is mainly based on awereness-raising, participation and mobilization of young community in the sustainable management of natural ressources in Madagascar, punctuated by the elaboration of a strategy for the inclusion of vulnerable people in Madagascar. Since 2003, the partnership has developed with the implementation of inclusion strategy including young and women, and people with disabilities, through various activities, specifically assist them during the implementation of action related to sustainable management of natural ressources, resilience to climate change, and the promotion of green and bleu entrepreneurship,

WORLD HERITAGE VOLUNTEERS CAMPAIGN

The World Heritage Volunteers program is an initiative in order  to promote World Heritage education  and mobilize  young people on the preservation and promotion of World Heritage sites for the future generations. Practicaly, through  workcamps, several local and international volunteers  are mobilized by obtaining skills and experciences about the heritage activities. They also allow the local community to take advantages of their knowledge, through awareness-rasisng and sharing sessions.

Initiator of this program in Madagascar since 2013, specifically in the « Rainforests of the Antsinanana » ; the organization expresses its willingness to perpetuate this program, that aim to make communities aware of the importance of World Heritage sites and also to strengthen conservation action for this natural asset in peril.

CITEZEN ENGAGEMENT THROUGH CIVIC AND VOTING EDUCATION

This program initiated by EISA or Electoral institute for sustainable democracy in Africa aims to promote the active participation of citizens, particularly young first time-voters, women, and people with disabilities through some activities : civic education, voting education, the renewal registration on the electoral list for all.

The organization participated in this program within several communities in the Analamanga Region by mobilizing young volunteers. The action was installed on several field visit, sharing sessions  with the local organizations and associations and digital communication campaigns on several themes : Citizen’s right ad obligation, the role of public institutions and electoral processes

EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Education for sustainable development is one of organization’s main activities. The objective is to contribute to a better understanding of the environment, social, economic, cultural interdenpendacies for all, through awareness-raising, and non-formal education.

In 2021, in partenership with Swiss embassy, a sustainable education program was set up at the Antsahatsiresy Sabotsy Nahamena public primary school, Analamanga Region. The activities carried out with the student focused on environmental education session accross several themes : the renovation of one of the school, along space game creation, and vegetable garden by and for the student.

In 2022, with the support of the Agricultural council forum (FCA) , the organization distributed  AIC  or climate smart agriculture to deal with climate, through shared hardcopy, at the level of the public schools in the Districts of Antananarivo Avaradrano and Antsimondrano, Analamanga Region.

Currently, activities keep on going, at the communities and schools, and focus on climate change education, waste recycling, and sustainable agriculture.
