On February 18–19, 2026, JADD Madagascar participated in the Forum on “Climate Adaptation and Industrial Resilience”, held at the Vienna International Centre – Austria and organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
The forum aimed to discuss practical solutions, focuses on practical solutions that keep factories running, protect jobs, and strengthen value chains as climate risks intensify after COP30.
The event brought together nearly 300 participants, both in person and online, from 32 countries. Participants included government representatives, industrial sector actors, financial partners, civil society organizations, and innovation stakeholders.
As an organization committed to sustainable development and social inclusion, JADD had the opportunity to share its experiences on inclusive solutions implemented at the local level. The organization particularly highlighted Nature-based Solutions as a key lever for strengthening industrial resilience to climate change.
On the sidelines of the forum, the event also provided an opportunity for exchanges among the winners of the Inclusive GEF Assembly Challenge Programme, through capacity-building sessions and an exhibition of local initiatives on “Locally-Led Adaptation.” The exhibition showcased concrete adaptation solutions implemented by 22 civil society and community-based organizations from around the world, including JADD Madagascar.
Our participation was made possible thanks to the partnership with the UNIDO and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
