JADD Madagascar

On September 10, 2025, an official ceremony marked the distribution of agricultural equipment to four  Community Organizations: VOI MMA, VOI Maromizaha, VOI Fanantenana, and VOI Maroala. The event was attended by the Country Representative of UNIDO Madagascar, local authorities, and representatives from the Agriculture, Livestock as weel as the Fisheries, and Blue Economy Circonscriptions.

As part of this initiative, JADD Madagascar provided essential tools, including 100 hoes with handles, 35 shovels with handles, 40 watering cans, 15 decameters, 4 pH meters, and 8 sprayers.

Additionally, a partnership agreement was formally signed between JADD NGO and beneficiary Community organizations, and follow-up activities for young rural entrepreneurs, especially those involved in fish farming, were conducted to assess the progress of the fishponds and outline the next steps for continued support..

This program is designed to support local communities, with a special focus on the inclusion of women and youth, while promoting sustainable production techniques that are resilient to climate change, all while preserving ecosystems and spreading nature-based solutions.

This initiative is part of the “Challenge Program”, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented in partnership with UNIDO.
